HTL was incorporated in November 2006 between the promoters of Nigerian Foundries Limited and Richfield Engineering of Kenya. The idea for the formation of the company came from the involvement of Nigerian Foundries Ltd in the cement industry by supplying castings. A need was observed for specialized fabrication/ erection requirements in the Nigerian Cement Industry. Richfield Engineering Ltd is established since 1980 in Nairobi, Kenya and has been involved in projects for a broad range of industries in the East African region.

Management The Management of the company is divided into the administration and technical. The Managing Director Mr Vassily Barberopoulos leads the team that handles all matters non-technical, including project logistics, project purchasing etc. Mr Jitu Brahmbhatt is the Technical Director who coordinates all projects.
